Abstract: In this seminar, we will discuss the properties of operator semigroups that are continuous in the weak topology induced by a given subspace of functionals. In particular, we will examine the classical result that for a Banach space, the weak continuity of a semigroup with respect to all continuous linear functionals is equivalent to its strong continuity. |
