Lifshitz Black Branes/Bose gas duality

Abstract: In this talk we give an overview of the possibility of finding black hole solutions that do not violate the third law of thermodynamics. First, we examine the possibility of finding such solutions in the Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton model and then study their thermodynamic properties. Afterward, we find the duality between Bose gas and the following black hole solution. This establishes a statistical description of black hole entropy for various dimensions and anisotropy parameters, in contrast to the Strominger-Vafa approach which provided microscopic origin for entropy only for extremal black holes. While in our case, we have the possibility to build a microscopic origin of entropy for a wide class of black holes.
