On Mori dream surfaces Antonio Laface
Abstract: Mori dream surfaces are defined to be normal surfaces with finitely generated Cox ring. Examples of these are smooth surfaces with big anticanonical divisor $-K_X$, like toric surfaces and del Pezzo surfaces. The topic of this talk is the classification problem of smooth Mori dream surfaces, illustrating in some cases how to calculate their Cox ring.
