Optimal Recovery Problems for Linear Functionals and Operators on Sets with Approximately Known Elements

Abstract: The presentation will provide a general formulation of the optimal recovery problem, present examples of optimal recovery of functions and their derivatives based on inaccurately specified spectra, solutions to equations of mathematical physics from imprecise initial data, and informational interpretation of problems in classical approximation theory.
