Gromov-Yomdin Theorem

A. A. Kuznetsova

Abstract: An interesting parameter of an automorphism is its topological entropy. The entropy is defined in terms of the metric spaces; however, if we deal with automorphisms of algebraic varieties, its entropy equals the logarythm of the maximal eigenvalue of an induced action on cohomologies $H^*(X)$. This was proved by Gromov and Yomdin and I am going to tell their proof.
