Matroids and delta-matroids of graphs and embedded graphs A. M. Dunaykin |

Abstract: In this talk I will introduce matroids and delta-matroids as combinatorial objects on which some invariants of graphs and embedded graphs can be defined. I will also touch on the connection of invariants of chord diagrams (orientable embedded graphs with one vertex) with Vassiliev knot invariants. All needed definitions will be given and the examples will be supported with pictures.
