Quantum metrology with a single qubit A. Lebedev Eidgenösische Technische Hochschule Zürich |

Abstract: We discuss two well-known phase estimation algorithms: Kitaev algorithm and algorithm based on a semiclassical Fourier transform and its practical implementation on a single quantum bit (transmon). It turns out that due to sufficient noise and decoherence the direct application of these algorithms is not efficient. Instead, we suggest more robust versions of these two and discuss obtained experimental data. |
