Abstract: Following the work of M. Furushima I will show that any finite subgroup of the group of automorphisms of the affine plane over the field of complex numbers is linearizable, that is conjugate to a subgroup of the group of linear transformations. The proof is based on a description of the geometry of minimal compactifications of the complex plane. |
