Аннотация:
I will briefly review the HISH model and compare its results with experimental data. This
will include the spectra of mesons, baryons, glueballs and exotic hadrons as well as their partial
and total decay widths. I will discuss the scattering amplitudes of hadrons by determining the
amplitudes for strings with massive particles and electric charges on their endpoints. Glueballs
with non-vanishing angular momentum and mesons in an external magnetic field are described
by folded closed and open strings respectively. I will present a new method of quantizing folded
strings. Finally I will discuss several open questions of the HISH model.
