Abstract: We give a brief survey of recent progress connected with the universality of the Riemann zeta-function $\zeta(s)$ and Hurwitz zeta-function $\zeta(s,\alpha)$. In particular, we present a new “discrete” analogue of H. Mishou's joint universality theorem (2007) for the Riemann zeta-function and Hurwitz zeta-function.
