Abstract: In the talk, we give an asymptotic formula for the number of primes of the form $q+1$ with squarefree $q$, lying in an arithmetic progression. It appears that the constant in the main term depends essentially on the first term of the progression. Hence, the distribution of such primes in progressions is not asymptotically uniform.
