Direct statistical simulation of collisional relaxation in mixtures of gases with a large difference in concentrations

Abstract: An algorithm for simulting collisional relaxation by a Bernoulli test scheme, proposed previously for a simple gas, is generalized to chemically non-interacting mixtures of gases by introducing weighting factors, which enables processes with quite different component concentrations to be calculated effectively.
