Abstract: A method for the numerical solution of fluid dynamics equations is proposed. The evolution of the structure of the laminar flow with increasing Reynolds number and its behavior at the critical Reynolds number Recris analyzed. Various flow modes at $\mathrm{Re}=\mathrm{Re}_{\text{cr}}$ are discussed.

Key words: changing structure of a laminar flow, turbulence, Reynolds number, numerical solution of fluid dynamics equations, separation zone.
