Abstract: The solvability of problems of the diffraction of electromagnetic waves in locally nonuniform anisotropic media using singular integral equations is investigated. The feasibility of the iterative minimumdiscrepancy method to obtain a solution of the three-dimensional singular integral equations describing this class of problem is demonstrated.
