Numerical Calculations Models for Physical-Mechanical Systems

An approach for modeling of joint of beam or shell type parts with 3D parts in FIDESYS CAE-system

Abstract: The approach to modeling of a joint of beam or shell type parts with 3D parts is presented. This approach which is used in CAE-system FIDESYS is based on the junction of beam or shell type elements with tetrahedron elements by plates. The example of use of this approach is presented. It is shown that the results of application of this approach are in good agreement with the results of analysis for bodies consisting only of tetrahedral or beam (shell) elements.
