Radicals that are generated or cogenerated by bimodules

Abstract: We obtain the criteria which permit one to determine whether a radical of the category of modules can be represented as the one generated or cogenerated by a class of bimodules. For an arbitrary module we describe the bimodules that are to some extent an “approximation” of this module.
