Abstract: Joule–Thompson effect for a super pessure case is investigated. Pipeline gas flow calculation for four different mathematical models with P–V–T relationships is provided. The conclusion that inertia forces must be taken into consideration in offshore pipeline gas flow modeling is proven.

Keywords: a Joule–Thompson effect, a superpessure, natural gas pipelines, mathematical models, a calculation.
