Abstract:
In the article the role of the outstanding scientist Professor Boris Efimovich Pobedrya in the formation and development of the method of averaging in the mechanics of composite materials with periodic structure is discussed. A generalization of this method is given for the case of nonuniform bodies with no periodic structure.
