Abstract:
The filtration problem for a viscous compressible multiphase fluid mixture in a porous medium is considered in the case of parallel computers. A CPR-preconditioner is discussed for a linear system obtained as a result of spatial discretization of an implicit difference scheme followed by the use of Newton's method to solve nonlinear systems. The efficiency and scalability are compared for the case of CPR- and ILU(0)-preconditioners in relation to the number of processors on the basis of realistic problems.
