Yevgeny Konstantinovich Zavoisky, a Participant of the Soviet Atomic Project

Abstract: E. K. Zavoisky worked in Sarov for more than 4 years (August 1947 – October 1951). During this period, the first three types of Soviet atomic bomb (RDS-1, RDS-2 and RDS-3) were created and tested. E. K. Zavoisky was involved in these projects. He also participated in the first stages of work on Sakharov's “Sloika” (design RDS-6s), the first Soviet thermonuclear bomb.
