Abstract:
We present a theory of the two-frequency interaction of pulsed laser beams. A powerful pump pulse induces a moving inhomogeneity in the form of a light bunch, which can reflect a signal pulsed beam of different frequency. We found and studied the trajectories of the signal pulsed beam in the presence of the induced inhomogeneity. Using wave theory, we studied the dynamics of single and double reflection, taking into account dispersion, diffraction and nonlinearity of the refractive index.
