Abstract: Tile absorption, dispersion and external magnetic field influence on the azimuthal dependence of the polarization plane’s rotation investigation results and the results of the maximum strengthening wavelength in the cholesteric liquid crystals are brought in the paper. The analysis of the obtained data shows that the polarization plane’s rotation strengthening and the maximum strengthening are both more sensitive and informative compared with the amplitude characteristic of the medium. As compared with the polarization plane’s rotation, they are more universal.
