On a numerical method for solving the problem of non-stationary gas flow along a main gas pipeline

Abstract: The problem of non-stationary gas flow along a long gas pipeline is considered taking into account gravity. The change in gas-dynamic parameters is investigated depending on the specified conditions. The problem is solved by a numerical method. For this purpose, an explicit solution scheme is constructed in the general formulation and the stability conditions for the proposed scheme are derived. A specific numerical example is calculated, the results of which are presented in the form of graphs and tables.
