Abstract:
The dependences of the maximum values of the energy of electrons reaching the central section of the cathodes, the frequency and amplitude of HF oscillations on the magnetic field induction and the anode voltage are measured. It is shown that high-energy electrons appear behind the cathode under conditions corresponding to the transient regime, when the rotating electron layer in the cell becomes unstable. A possible mechanism for the appearance of anomalously fast electrons behind the cathode hole is discussed.
