The influence of the space limitation of the exciting waves on the laser radiation with the difference frequency

Abstract: The generation of difference frequency in a nonlinear plate with limited excitation beams is considered. For the cases of a traveling and standing wave of nonlinear polarization, expressions for the powers of reflected and transmitted radiation with a difference frequency are obtained. The possibility of measuring the parameters of a nonlinear medium using reflected radiation with a difference frequency is shown.
