Abstract:
We propose and investigate a new method of using high-strength synthetic materials in the construction of additional fuel tanks. The use of additional fuel tanks located inside the fuselage of the aircraft increases the aerodynamic properties of the airframe, increases the payload and flight range.
An algorithm is described for designing tanks for transport aircraft of the TU family in the computer-integrated system Siemens NX, and engineering calculations are performed in the ANSYS Workbench. A comparative analysis of deformations of additional fuel tanks made of high-strength synthetic fabric and aluminum is presented. Charts and graphs are constructed. Advantages and disadvantages are noted.
