Abstract:
In the paper, based on a stochastic approach to investigating the sedimentation process of solid particles, new theoretical results were obtained that combine the advantages of deterministic physical laws governing particle kinetics in liquids and probabilistic methods for modeling complex dynamical systems. The most important practical outcome of these results is the provision of a more accurate and reasonable dependence of the mean degree of purification from disperse impurities, which would be useful for researchers tackling engineering tasks involving stochastic interacting systems.
