On the quantum description of the linear kinetics of a collisionless plasma

Abstract: It is demonstrated that the linear kinetics of a collisionless quantum plasma can be described in a simple and effective way by means of a self-consistent-field scheme in which the quantum hydrodynamic equations are derived directly from the Schroedinger equation.
