Abstract: Basing on the review of contemporary approaches to modeling social and informational influences we suggest hypotheses of socialization, rationality, individual choice, comprehensiveness of information influences and build the information representation function. On the basis of the hypotheses formulated and using the concepts of Bernoulli marginal utility of wealth and the Weber-Fechner law from psychology, we determine the specific form of the perception and representation functions for probabilistic- and interval-type signals. We estimate model parameters for three examples and discuss possible applications to state border security.

Keywords: representation, perception, information exposure, psychophysical Weber-Fechner law, prospect theory, evaluation parameters.
