Virtual four-dimensional environments for human-computer interaction

Abstract: We review fundamental approaches to organization of virtual two- and three-dimensional environments for human-computer interaction in graphical user interfaces (GUI) design and suggest a design approach to virtual four-dimensional environments based on special visual effects. We also describe functional capabilities and user operation principles of FDC package, which implements an environment prototype.
