Abstract:
The method proposed for calculating a multifrequency plane resonant cavity is based on the requirement that the energy balance equations be satisfied over the entire spectrum of lasing frequencies. This method is used in combination with a model of the kinetic processes occurring in the cavity (with allowance for kinetics of nozzle vibrations and for the anharmonicity of the vibration of the $\rm CO$ molecule) to analyze the operation of a laser employing $\rm CO$–$\rm Ar$ and $\rm CO$–$\rm N_2$–$\rm Ar$ mixtures and to determine the output power.
