Abstract:
The linear problem of viscous phase interface perturbations in intensive condensation/evaporation processes (at great transversal mass fluxes) is numerically solved. In limit cases, transition to the classic Helmholtz and Landau instability problems is ensured. The effects of viscosity, heat conductivity, and surface tension are taken into account. The limit case of long-wavelength perturbations is considered using the method of matched asymptotic expansions.
