Abstract:
Two mechanisms of surface nanorelief formation on a metal substrate upon laser ablation are considered. They are based on the theory of nucleation in the process of crystallization and the resonance-wave theory of capillary deformation processes. Using experimental examples, it is shown that both the mechanisms not only do not contradict but even complement each other. Based on the hierarchy of characteristics times, the influence of energy parameters of laser pulses on dimensions of the forming nanostructures is analyzed.
