Abstract:
It is suggested to use Cartesian-helical coordinates for simplifying numerical solution and analytical investigations of equations of heat transfer in swirling regions. In these coordinates, a swirling region is a cylinder. This enables one, in particular, to avoid the difficulties of constructing computational grids and, in the case of stabilized flows, to treat the problem as a two-parameter one. In the case of numerical solution, additional terms appearing in the equations are treated as source terms. The solution of problem of stabilized heat transfer in a profiled pipe is given by way of illustration of application of the suggested method.
