Abstract:
Two measures $\mu_1$ and $\mu_2$ defined on the simplest nilpotent group are considered (see section 1). In the paper we discuss the conditions which are necessary and sufficient for the distance between distribution functions of the measures $\mu_1^m$ and $\mu _2^m$ to tend to zero as $m\to\infty$. These conditions are given in Theorems 1 and 2.
