On an Age-Dependent Branching Process

Abstract: Let us consider the age-dependent branching process introduced by Bellman and Harris [1]. Let $Z(t)$ be the number of particles existing at $t$. In this paper certain conditions are given under which the asymptotic behavior of $A(t)[A(t)=M\{{Z(t)}\}]$ coincides with that of a usual branching process. Moreover, the asymptotic behavior of $p_0(t)$, $t\to\infty$, is given for certain processes.
