A Model and Algorithms for Measurement of Geometric Parameters in Textile Structures

Abstract: Non-contact methods for measuring angular and linear geometric parameters in textile structures are considered. In this paper we have developed the following algorithms: a diffraction pattern modeling algorithm based on the fast Fourier transform; an algorithm for determining the yarn twist angle by a digital photography of its structure; an algorithm for determining the skewness of the weft thread in fabric; an  algorithm for measuring the distance between adjacent elements of the structure using the method of the Double Fourier transform.
