Abstract: GIS technologies now are widely used in many spheres of human activity. According to a modern approach GIS is not only a tool for displaying maps but it is a complex application for solving sophisticated problems in different business areas. In these article possible approaches to construction of GIS based analytical systems for creation and maintenance of geo-economic maps are discussed.
