Abstract: Based on Symanzik's approach, we propose a model of the interaction of a spinor with a material plane. We investigate the scattering of Dirac particles on the plane and the properties of states localized in its vicinity. The model can find application to a wide class of phenomena occurring during the interaction of quantum-electrodynamics fields with two-dimensional materials.

Keywords: Casimir effect, electrodynamics in a space with macroscopic inhomogeneities, Chern–Simons potential, nanophysics, interaction of Dirac fields with two-dimensional objects.
