Abstract: A study is made of the behavior of the scattering amplitude at high energies for the smooth quasipotential
$$ V(r)={V_0(k)}\frac{\exp\{-\alpha\sqrt{r^2+a^2}\}}{\sqrt{r^2+a^2}}. $$
