Abstract:
The method of Green's functions is used to study in detail the problem of calculating the magnetization of a uniaxial ferromagnet with spin $S=1$ in a transverse magnetic field. For systems with arbitrary spin, a technique is proposed for decoupling of the crystalline anisotropy terms. It is used in calculations of the magnetizations of one- and two-sublattice
ferromagnets in a transverse field.
