Generating functional method and Gibbs random fields on countable sets

Abstract: Discrete systems with many-particle absolutely summable potential are considered. It is shown that all probability measures on the configuration space of such systems are determined by analytic generating functionals. If the measure is to be Gibbsian, it is necessary and sufficient that its generating functional satisfy a generalized Bogolyubov equation.
