A New Type of Stretched Solutions Excited by Initially Stretched Vortex Filaments for the Local Induction Equation

Abstract: We solve the initial value problem of the stretched vortex filament with the local induction equation and obtain a new type of stretched solution analytically, a solution that was suggested numerically.
