Orthogonality of Askey–Wilson polynomials with respect to a measure of Ramanujan type

Abstract: Orthogonality of the Askey–Wilson polynomials with respect to a Ramanujan-type measure, admitting the transformation $q \to q^{-1} $, is proved. A simple way of evaluating the Askey–Wilson $q$-beta integral is also given.
