Abstract:
The Automated Information System (AIS) demonstrates the example of a regional system of electronic public healthcare, providing appointment reservation services both for doctors and patients. The AIS also provides supportive services such as distant doctor's consultations, exchange of patients' medical data between medical centers where the patients undertake examination and treatment, drawing up electronic prescriptions and medicine orders, sending orders to pharmacy centers. The article presents the methods of the system organization, provides a description of the system and its elements as well as the services for patients and doctors. The article is specially focused on the ways of organizing cooperation between the data processing center AIS with systems of medical institutions.
