Methods of indexing of spatial data for their representation in electronic geolibraries

Abstract: Indexing of geoimages is one of the means providing an opportunity of receiving knowledge about the Earth. In the majority of electronic geolibraries for a data choice verbal information is used, supplemented by its spatial description if necessary. Features of various classes of geoimages cause presence of certain restrictions, and have an effect of specificity of approaches and applied methods of data indexing. Taking it into account, 5 approaches of development of effective algorithms of search and extraction of the spatial information are described.
