An uncountable family of disjoint spatial continua in Euclidean space

Abstract: The authors construct an example of an uncountable family of disjoint continua in the Euclidean plane each of which cannot be covered by any 1-dimensional manifold. Analogous examples can be constructed in Euclidean spaces of higher dimensions.
