Splitting methods for the numerical solution of multi-dimensional problems of gas dynamics

Abstract: On the basis of the method of splitting into physical processes and spatial directions, schemes of minimum dissipation for a numerical solution of the Euler equations are proposed written in various gas dynamic variables. Their justification for a multi-dimensional case is given and their properties are investigated.
