Abstract:
Considering the flat potential steady-state flow of an ideal incompressible fluid past a connected contour, we describe the classes of boundary velocities corresponding to one contour for all possible parameters of the incoming flow. We present a solution to the inverse problem of hydrodynamics: Calculate the contour from the boundary velocity for arbitrary flow schemes, including the case that the flow lacks stopping points on the contour. We consider the question of equivalence of boundary velocities, meaning their correspondence with the same contour.
