Abstract: This paper attempts to explain the significant anisotropy of boron and carbon fibers by the presence of primary sliding planes, microinhomogeneities in the presence of viscous friction at the contacts between the layers composing a fiber. The averaging problem is considered using the Bakhvalov method for a multiwalled carbon nanotube with cylindrical anisotropy.

Keywords: averaging, composite, nanotube.
